Terengganu State Museum Complex


This is the largest museum complex in Southeast Asia, consisting of four main blocks, an adjacent Maritime Museum and five traditional houses. Set amidst beautifully landscaped gardens, the museum offers a glimpse into the rich history of the state.
Various museums available in Malaysia have been the essential guide to the best of historical exposure of Malaysia. The enormous archives stored in the museum would open doors, turning the time back to give tourists a real-life experience of what it is like to live in Malaysia during the 18th century.

Muzium Negeri Terengganu is located in Bukit Losong, Kuala Terengganu and houses the State’s historical artifacts and artworks that are centuries old. On display are Terengganu’s and Malaysia’s rich and colourful heritage. The museum covers an area of 1.7 hectares. At the main entrance is the original Batu Bersurat of Terengganu, displayed to inform visitors that Islam was officially embraced as early as 1303 AD.
